Size guide

All our traditionally shaped berets come with a calfskin headband, which determines the size of the piece.
Most of our berets are available in S, M and L, which cover most head sizes.
Find the right size for you according to your head circumference in the table below.

If you are between 2 sizes, we advise you to choose the bigger one; your beret will be more comfortable to wear.
What if you do not know your head circumference? No need to panic; we will explain all.

How to measure your head circumference?

Head circumference is measured from the forehead, around 1–2cm above the eyebrows, around the widest part at the back of the head.

Col

Col : the outer diameter of the beret, also known as the plateau. The col is measured in inches, from 9 to 11.
The choice of col (9, 10, 11 inches) depends on the wearer’s face shape and size:

  • for a slimmer person with a thinner face, 9 or 10 maximum is ideal
  • for a larger person with a rounder face, 10 or 11 is better

History: A reference to the ancestral heritage of Laulhère, the Eridan Beret honours the Basque Beret. Through this historically significant beret, Laulhère offers each year a new assortment of woven vintage labels from her collection. Skillfully mixing the old and new badges, the artistic direction tells us 180 years of history on a beret.

Materials:
  • 100% virgin merino wool base, knitted and felted in our workshops at the foot of the French Pyrenees.
  • 60% acetate and 40% viscose lining.
  • Full grain cowhide leather headband.
  • Satin interior.
  • 100% cotton badge.
  • CLEANING

Machine washing is excluded for felted merino virgin wool. Hand washing or dry cleaning is preferable.
To preserve the beauty and delicacy of the badges, we recommend that you consult a specialist before cleaning.

  • BRUSHING, DUSTING

Merino wool is a material with exceptional qualities, but it easily captures dust, textile fibres and animal hair. We therefore recommend that you use an adhesive textile brush.
Tip: Wet the palm of your hand slightly and gently rub the surface of your beret in circles, the dust will then form a ball that you only have to remove to find a clean beret.

To best protect your beret, it is recommended to store it flat in its cardboard box after each use, away from dust.
